Trivselhus Saddles Up For New £18m Partnership
Trivselhus has marked the start of an £18m partnership with Places for People, one of the largest property and leisure management, development and regeneration companies in the UK.
The pioneering development of low energy homes in Milton Keynes will be our largest UK development to date. To celebrate spades hitting the ground a traditional Swedish good luck charm was presented on the site where the homes will be built.
Joint venture partner Places for People owns or manages more than 182,000 homes nationwide. Its Brooklands development in Milton Keynes was recognised at the 2016 Planning and Placemaking Awards, for creating an inclusive community with supporting infrastructure – including education and community facilities, open spaces and transport links.
Colin Rae, Development Director at Places for People, said: “Sommar Place will be another pioneering development for Places for People, delivering the very best in Swedish energy-efficient design to customers in Milton Keynes. “As an organisation committed to innovation, we are proud to be partnering with Trivselhus on their largest ever development in the UK. Trivselhus’ ethical and sustainable priorities match our own business values, and we look forward to working together on this project.”
Sommar Place, a mix of 56 highly energy-efficient Swedish-style houses and apartments, will be delivered on the outskirts of Places for People’s award-winning Brooklands development, through the new joint venture.
Ashe Construction were appointed as building contractor in April 2017 and work has now started on site. Houses will be released for sale in summer 2017 and the site is due for completion by the end of summer 2018.
